Starting something new can feel intimidating — especially if you’ve never tried Reformer Pilates before. At Core Studio, our goal is to make your first class feel welcoming, supportive, and confidence-building.
Here’s what you can expect.
A Calm, Guided Environment
Your first Reformer class is not about perfection. It’s about learning how your body moves and becoming familiar with the equipment. Our instructors guide you through each movement with clear cues and modifications, so you always feel supported.
Classes are intentionally small to ensure personalized attention and safe movement.
Beginner-Friendly Movements
Reformer Pilates may look complex, but your first class focuses on:
- Controlled, low-impact movements
- Building awareness rather than intensity
- Proper alignment and breathing
You’re encouraged to move at your own pace and take breaks whenever needed.
What to Wear and Bring
- Comfortable, form-fitting activewear
- Grip socks (recommended for safety and stability)
- A water bottle
Everything else is provided in the studio.
Before Class Starts
We recommend arriving a few minutes early so the instructor can:
- Introduce the Reformer
- Ask about injuries, pregnancy, or movement concerns
- Help you feel comfortable before class begins
After Class
It’s normal to feel both energized and pleasantly challenged after your first session. Pilates works deep stabilizing muscles, so you may feel muscles you didn’t know existed — that’s completely normal.
Most clients leave feeling more connected to their bodies and confident about returning.
Final Thoughts
Your first Reformer Pilates class is the beginning of a journey — not a test. At Core Studio, we believe progress comes from consistency, mindful movement, and a supportive environment.
If you have questions before booking, we’re always happy to help.
